UOW FIRST ® Robotics Competition Team - EOI
UOW is starting an FRC team in 2025!
The FIRST Robotics Competition is an annual large-scale “industrial” robotics competition for high-school students. FRC brings together students and mentors to design, build, and program robots to take part in a grueling game that changes each year. Human drivers control FRC robots, are up to 2 meters tall and weigh as much as 50 kgs!
Candidate information
- No experience is necessary.
- Interest in programming, electronics, engineering, machining, 3D modelling, graphic design, public speaking, writing, photography or filmmaking.
- Year 8-12 (2025)
- Build both technical and life skills.
- Be mentored by expert UOW staff.
- Meet with teams from around the world!
Location: UOW Makerspace
Event Season: January - May 2025
Commitment: (exact dates TBC)
- Two days (6 hours each) per week January 6 to February 7
- One afternoon (2 hours) per week during school term
